Risk Strategies, an American specialty insurance brokerage and risk management firm, has acquired Ohio-based First Insurance Group from Nasdaq-listed Premier Financial.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Headquartered in Youngstown, Ohio, Premier Financial is a community banking and financial services holding company.
Established in 1946, First Insurance Group provides custom insurance placement services for commercial and personal property and casualty, health, life, and employee benefits.
The agency also provides fee-based consulting services for employee benefits programmes and a range of related services as well as financial and wealth solutions.

According to Risk Strategies, First Insurance’s collaborative and mentoring sales and service culture is complementary with it.
First Insurance provides its clients with services including in-house compliance expertise, safety, HR consulting, wellness and loss control, a 24/7 online portal and mobile app, and educational webinar and seminar series.
The First Insurance team-based client service structure helps clients to navigate claims and better understand and manage their risks and liabilities, said Risk Strategies.
