MHC has launched MHC NorthStar Payments Plus, an enhancement to its accounts payable (AP) platform, integrating Paymode, Bottomline’s business payments network.

The development aims to streamline AP operations, mitigate fraud risk, and generate revenue through rebate-eligible transactions.

MHC’s Payments Plus taps into a network of over 600,000 verified vendors, handling transactions exceeding $450bn annually.

This solution is designed to help businesses transform AP from a cost centre into a revenue-generating function.

It provides advanced security with multi-layered protection, including multi-factor verification, OFAC screening, and continuous monitoring.

Rebate-eligible transactions through premium ACH and virtual card payments offer a consistent return on AP expenditure.

The platform can be deployed rapidly, within 30 days, requiring minimal IT resources. Enhanced data and visibility features simplify reconciliation, improve cash flow insights, and reduce processing time by over 50%.

Users can manage approvals, execution, and payment tracking within the unified MHC NorthStar platform, eliminating the need for multiple portals.

MHC CEO Gina Armada said: “MHC NorthStar Payments Plus helps organisations modernise their AP operations with functionality that is not only secure and efficient but also delivers real financial returns.

“By partnering with Bottomline, the leading name in B2B payments, and embedding the Paymode network, MHC delivers a secure, intuitive way to further simplify AP processes and strengthen financial operations. It’s a powerful combination when customers can do more with less – cutting costs while driving greater value.”

MHC NorthStar Payments Plus is tailored for enterprise-scale AP processes, complementing existing MHC invoice-to-pay functionalities.

It provides immediate access to an established vendor payment network, reduces reliance on manual processes, opens new revenue streams through rebates and efficiency gains, and supports a more agile and competitive finance function.
