Medius has rolled out a new embedded payment solution, Medius Payments, aimed at enhancing the efficiency of financial teams by allowing secure payment approvals and executions within a unified accounts payable platform.
The launch introduces Straight Through Payments, enabling users to create and execute payment batches directly from the Medius system without relying on ERP file uploads or middleware.
Payments are processed through customers’ existing bank accounts, which helps maintain control over cash flow while simplifying disbursement processes.
Building on the existing Medius Pay solution, Medius Payments supports a range of payment methods, including ACH, SEPA, BACS, CHAPS, BankGiro, wire, checks, and virtual cards. With its multi-currency and international capabilities, it offers finance departments a consistent and compliant way to pay suppliers globally.
Unlike additional payment tools, Medius Payments is integrated directly into the Medius accounts payable workflow, featuring embedded approval rules, fraud detection, and audit trails. This integration reduces the risk of fraud, improves visibility, and facilitates swift, policy-compliant payments without the need for extra software or manual interventions.
The solution’s integration with customer ERP systems ensures a synchronised audit trail, aiding compliance and streamlining reconciliation processes.
From invoice capture to payment completion, this comprehensive visibility allows finance teams to operate more efficiently and confidently.
Suppliers benefit from faster payment processing and enhanced remittance information, which aids in payment reconciliation and cash flow management.
