The National Bank of Umm Al Qaiwain (NBQ) has chosen digital experience banking platform Intellect Digital Engagement Platform (iDEP) to deliver improved digital banking experience for the UAE-based bank’s clients.

The platform is offered by Intellect Global Consumer Banking (iGCB), the retail and central banking solutions division of India-based fintech company Intellect Design Arena.

Built on eMACH.ai architecture, iDEP supports banks and financial service providers to offer frictionless and tailored experiences to their customers and bank employees across all channels.

NBQ by leveraging iDEP is expected to achieve a larger market share by providing fully digital experiences for its retail, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and corporate customers.

Intellect Global Consumer Banking CEO Rajesh Saxena said: “A great digital experience can completely change the game for banks. Our Digital Engagement Platform makes it easy for banks to bring their vision to life.

“Furthermore, it ensures that the bank is ready to embrace Open Banking and Open Finance initiatives.”

Incorporated in Umm Al Qaiwain, UAE, NBQ is a public shareholding company that offers retail and corporate banking services through a network of 11 branches in the country.

By utilising iDEP, the bank is expected to acquire customers digitally in three minutes and enhance its asset book with fully digital, end-to-end lending for retail and SME clients.

Besides, NBQ will use readily available domain Microservice such as real-time credit analysis, contextual cross-selling, customer 360, expense tracker, personal finance management, and others.

The bank will also allow clients to generate contextual experiences themselves across any device or channel by using the already available templates.

NBQ CEO Adnan Al Awadhi said: “Transforming digital experience for our retail, SME and corporate customers was critical for us in order to grow quickly.

“We were looking for a platform which allows us to reach new customers through a world-class experience. We were impressed by iDEP’s capabilities and the team’s long-term partnership-based approach.”
