IT infrastructure services provider Kyndryl has signed a contract with Unicaja Banco to expedite the Spanish financial institution’s technological transformation.
Under the terms of the long-term contract, Kyndryl will be responsible for the renewal and comprehensive management of Unicaja Banco’s technology platform.
Through the engagement with the IT infrastructure services provider, the Spanish bank aims to enhance efficiencies through excellence in operations and expedite services for its customers.
Kyndryl will also help the lender to transform technologically by generating new processes, procedures as well as tools that enable increased automation and standardisation of its IT services.
Besides, the company will modernise Unicaja Banco’s operations and its data processing centre infrastructure.

Furthermore, the agreement with the IT infrastructure services provider will allow the bank to adopt a hybrid cloud strategy.
Kyndryl will build a private cloud and manage its interface with public cloud providers.
The new architecture will deliver greater agility to respond to emerging market challenges and enable the bank to offer its clients the latest innovations in digital banking.
