Chinese digital communications technology conglomerate Huawei has launched the fourth stage of the Financial Partner Go Global Program (FPGGP) aimed at helping the global financial sector in digitisation.

The launch was announced during the company’s 2024 HiFS Frontier Forum at Shenzhen in China.

Huawei aims to forge partnerships with industry-specific experts and concentrate on pivotal digital transformation scenarios within the global financial industry. Additionally, the Financial Partner Go Global Program seeks to foster innovation by bringing together participants and their expertise.

This will enable Huawei and its partners to underpin the transformation and upgrade of financial industry customers across the lifecycle from consultation, solutions, to services.

According to Huawei, the programme will be a win-win cooperation for all parties involved.

Initiated in 2021, FPGGP has collaborated with 11 partners in the last three years, delivering solutions and driving digital transformations for more than 20 financial clients across 14 countries and regions globally.

Currently, 24 partners have joined in China, with six appointed as council members. They include Sunline, Wallyt, Tongdun Technology, Sinosoft, Netis, and Chinasoft International.

Huawei vice president and Huawei digital finance BU CEO Jason Cao said: “Huawei has worked with partners to develop innovative scenario-based solutions in eight mainstream industry scenarios, from infrastructure O&M to application system platforms, from core business transactions to big data applications, and from banking to insurance and securities.”

Furthermore, the FPGGP acceleration programme will boost the digital and intelligent transformation progress of the financial industry by promoting more global competency partners to join the initiative.

It will also incubate more scenario-based solutions for the financial industry, tailored to customers’ digital and intelligent transformation needs along with enhancing connectivity and collaboration among ecosystem partners.
