FNZ has forged a partnership with Microsoft aimed at transforming the wealth management industry through technological advancements and artificial intelligence (AI)-driven solutions over the next five years.

The collaboration seeks to leverage FNZ’s technological expertise and client base alongside Microsoft’s AI capabilities and cloud infrastructure to enhance digital wealth management experiences.

The integration of Microsoft Azure AI Foundry into FNZ’s platform is aimed at redefining interactions between financial institutions, advisers, and their clients by offering personalised and intelligent services.

This move is expected to expedite the launch of new solutions, improve client outcomes, and enhance adviser productivity.

Microsoft Worldwide financial services corporate vice president Bill Borden said: “Our partnership brings together Microsoft’s AI and cloud technologies with FNZ’s global platform and expertise in wealth management to deliver insights that will lead to more impactful and personalised experiences for advisors and their clients.

“Together, we’re helping financial institutions lead as Frontier Firms by reimagining their operations through agentic AI, accelerating innovation, and unlocking new value across the wealth management ecosystem.”

FNZ, which manages assets worth nearly $2 trillion for over 26 million investors in collaboration with more than 650 financial institutions, will utilise this partnership to harness advanced AI analytics for deeper insights and better outcomes for all stakeholders involved.

Key aspects of the partnership involve the introduction of advanced AI tools, joint development of new technologies, and coordinated market initiatives.

FNZ plans to integrate Azure AI Foundry capabilities, such as Azure OpenAI in Foundry Models, into its existing platform for improved user experiences. The use of Microsoft Fabric will further strengthen FNZ’s data analytics capabilities tailored to wealth managers’ needs.

Co-development efforts will include embedding Azure AI Foundry in FNZ’s platform, boosting product innovation, enhancing platform intelligence, and ensuring secure and scalable service delivery. FNZ will implement GitHub Copilot to enhance productivity in its engineering teams.

The partnership also focuses on operational efficiency by deploying Microsoft 365 Copilot and intelligent agents for back-office processes.

Additionally, global go-to-market activities are part of the collaboration strategy, involving the deployment of modular wealth solutions across various channels including Microsoft Marketplace.

FNZ group president Roman Regelman said: “FNZ has always been at the forefront of innovation in wealth-management technology. Partnering with Microsoft allows us to accelerate our AI-led roadmap and enhances our ability to deliver personalized, intelligent and resilient solutions to our clients, strengthening our position of leadership.

“Together, we are not just upgrading technology. We are setting a new standard for how wealth management is delivered. Partnering with Microsoft further advances our mission to open up wealth, by making investing more accessible to more people worldwide.”
