Cognizant has won a multi-year contract from AXA UK & Ireland under which the company as a technology partner will support consolidating, modernising, and managing part of the latter’s IT operations.

According to the American IT company, AXA UK & Ireland is aiming to transform its technology ecosystem to build a more digitally-enabled, modern, and agile IT environment that is rich in data, secure, as well as sustainable with reduced overall cost.

Cognizant said that it will operate, optimise, and digitally enable part of the insurer’s legacy IT environment in its UK and Ireland operations.

AXA UK & Ireland chief operating officer Shali Vasudeva said: “AXA UK & Ireland’s priority is providing customers with the choice and flexibility that meets their insurance needs.
