IT and business consulting services firm CGI has renewed its partnership with National Bank of Canada for 10 years to advance the latter’s digital transformation.

Under the terms of the long-term service agreement, CGI will deliver a broad array of technology services and solutions to help the bank further improve its client experience and bolster operational excellence.

According to CGI, the agreement boosts the over two decades-long collaboration between the parties.

The IT and business consulting services firm has been providing banking insights, expertise, and a portfolio of services including project development, business consulting, systems integration, and wealth and payment solutions to the Canadian lender.

National Bank of Canada technology and operations executive vice-president Julie Levesque said: “CGI is a trusted partner in the financial services sector.

“We value CGI’s expertise and commitment to excellence that will play an important role in our ongoing efforts to meet the evolving needs of our clients and stay at the forefront of the financial services industry.”

Based in Canada, CGI offers an end-to-end portfolio of capabilities, from strategic IT and business consulting to systems integration, managed IT and business process services, and intellectual property solutions.

CGI Greater Montréal senior vice-president Michael Godin said: “We are delighted to continue our journey with National Bank of Canada.

“This agreement exemplifies the trust National Bank of Canada has in CGI’s capabilities and we look forward to bringing the best of CGI globally to help the Bank accelerate its transformation.”

Last year, CGI secured a five-year contract extension with the Laurentian Bank of Canada to expand the delivery of banking transformation services to the latter.
