UK-based insurance company Aviva has implemented the Reltio Data Cloud to enhance customer experiences through real-time data intelligence.
Through the cloud-native platform, Aviva aims to unify its data, overcome previous challenges of data fragmentation and provide a complete view of customer interactions.
Previously, Aviva’s legacy systems used separate master data management solutions for operational and marketing purposes, which complicated obtaining a holistic customer view.
After evaluating various vendors, the insurer selected Reltio Data Cloud for its scalability and data unification capabilities, replacing the existing IBM Master Data Management solution.
The implementation has already shown benefits, including improved data quality and the ability to engage prospects more effectively, said Aviva.
Aviva customer data head Bijan Yeylaghi said: “We are proud to achieve this significant implementation milestone for our customers, as we deliver on our commitment to enhancing their experiences.
“Reltio has a proven track record as a data unification and management leader with vast expertise in highly regulated industries.
“We have a true partnership with Reltio. Now that we’ve gone live, we are already seeing great progress toward achieving our data transformation goals around improving customer service, while also unlocking additional business value from our customer data.”
In collaboration with a Reltio Premiere Delivery Partner, Aviva successfully migrated and streamlined 37 million customer profiles within weeks, enhancing cross-team functionality.
The ongoing partnership with Reltio Professional Services aims to further exploit opportunities using a Customer 360 methodology.
Reltio Data Cloud now powers the MyAviva app, offering customers real-time access to their policies and claims, thereby improving customer experiences.
Aviva plans to expand the use of Reltio for marketing and analytics, incorporating third-party data enrichment to further enhance customer engagement and operational efficiency.
Reltio founder and CEO Manish Sood said: “We are honoured to be the cloud partner of choice for Aviva, the UK’s leading diversified insurer with a 325-year history, as they undertake their AI and digital transformations.
“Legacy MDM was built for data at rest. The future belongs to data in motion. Aviva didn’t just choose a solution for today; they invested in a future where data agility is paramount, especially in the age of AI.
“They’ve removed the limitations of a legacy system, embracing a platform that scales to meet the speed and demands of today’s business.
“By going live with Reltio, Aviva transformed what was static data into agile data that provides real-time intelligence.”
Last year, Aviva signed a 15-year agreement with India-based IT firm Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to transform its UK Life business.
