Abacus Worldwide, a global association of independent accounting, consulting, and legal firms, has announced the addition of two new members from Africa.
Kenyan law firm Munyao, Muthama & Kashindi Advocates (MMK) and South African accounting firm P&A Accountants have joined the international association.
P&A Accountants, located in Alberton, Gauteng, offers a range of solutions including accountant and tax compliance specialist for businesses of all sizes.
The firm aims to ensure that clients remain compliant with legislation and provides guidance on cloud-based accounting solutions.
MMK has offices in Nairobi and Mombasa and offers legal services.
Abacus Worldwide CEO and president Julio Gabay said: “Having members in Africa strengthens Abacus Worldwide’s global reach and enhances our member’s ability to serve clients with truly international expertise.
“Africa’s rapidly growing economies and expanding professional services sector present significant opportunities for cross-border collaboration. By welcoming more African accounting and law firms into the association, Abacus fosters greater regional insight, cultural diversity, and on-the-ground support for clients conducting business across continents.”
The expansion also includes the recent incorporation of Balans-Inform-Audit (BIA), an audit firm based in Uzbekistan.
Set up in 1999, BIA offers services in economics, finance, and corporate management, supporting companies in adapting to Uzbekistan’s market-oriented economy.
Additionally, BIA’s membership in Abacus Worldwide comes with joining Task International, a network that serves independent accounting firms specialising in transnational auditing and compliance.
Abacus Worldwide network enables members to extend their reach and capabilities, providing clients with a broader spectrum of professional services.
