Clearwater Analytics, an investment management firm, has finalised its acquisition of Beacon Platform, a provider of enterprise risk analytics and developer infrastructure.
The acquisition will enhance Clearwater’s capabilities in managing complex portfolios across public and private markets, including structured products, private credit, and derivatives.
Clearwater aims to address the problems faced by institutional investors by integrating Beacon’s cross-asset risk modelling with its existing front-office capabilities.
The investment management firm will also integrate its alternative asset intelligence from previous acquisitions.
Clearwater CEO Sandeep Sahai said: “With Beacon, we’ve expanded our platform to deliver end-to-end support across the entire investment lifecycle from front-office modelling to middle- and back-office operations.
“Together, along with Enfusion and Bistro, we’re transforming a fragmented industry landscape with a unified platform built for today’s institutional investors, streamlining complexity, accelerating decision-making, and driving performance across public and private markets.”
The unified platform will span the entire investment lifecycle, from trading and modelling to accounting and regulatory reporting.
Its single architecture will eliminate silos across the front, middle, and back offices, providing real-time data, transparency, and scalability for investors in both public and private markets.
Beacon’s modular infrastructure offers real-time analytics, scenario modelling, and custom development, trusted by asset managers and banks such as Blackstone and PIMCO.
Once integrated, the capabilities will support advanced solutions for portfolio construction, risk management, and stress testing within the Clearwater platform.
Clearwater risk & performance president and former Beacon CEO and co-founder Kirat Singh said: “Beacon’s mission has always been to bring transparency and control to the most complex parts of financial markets.
“By joining Clearwater, we can now deliver these capabilities at scale. Together, we’re helping investors move beyond reporting to real-time action, with the infrastructure global institutions need to succeed.”
Recently, Clearwater completed its previously announced $1.5bn acquisition of Enfusion to solidify its position in the investment management technology landscape.
